We love going out and exploring the local playgrounds in our area, free fun, fresh air and always lots of adventures to be had. Brookwood Farm Play area in Knaphill is our latest find.
Although a small play park, Brookwood Farm playground certainly had a lot of different character packed into it and we had a lovely morning here despite the chilly weather.
There was the usual swings, basket swing, wooden saw, and spinning seat. Isabella loves all the usual equipment which you would typically find at a playground, and she spends endless amounts of time swinging back and forth on the swings.
Isabella absolutely loved the wooden wendy house, it was the perfect size for her to be able to explore on her own. There was a small slide which she loved going down, there were wooden counting beads which she could push back and forth, and also up and down to make numerous number towers.
When the weather is warmer there is also a sand pulley system, where the children can fill the bucket up with sand, and use the pulleys to bring to the top to empty out again.
Feeling a bit braver and more independent, Isabella decided to tackle the large climbing frame. This one was epic, it was as tall as we could see, it had double slides, balancing beams, a fireman’s pole, and a wooden climbing totem pole.
She started off practising her balancing skills on the beams, which then lead to a cargo net where she could climb to the lowest slide. Then she decided to climb to the next level of the climbing frame, where she could see across the whole park, and from up here she was able to slide down the enormous tunnel slide and I could hear her giggling all the way down.
With free parking just outside the playground, a field to kick a ball about, and gravel paths to ride along – there is certainly enough to entertain children whilst enjoying some fresh air.
