Eskdale Play Park | Stoke Mandeville

Recently we went to Eskdale in Stoke Mandeville and were really impressed by the size of it and how good the equipment was. It was refurbished not long ago and the play equipment is great.

The large climbing frame kept the boys occupied for ages. It was a real challenge for them climbing to the top and they loved the look out up there. It has a tube slide and a big open slide (Freddie did say they were a bit slow!). The big climbing frame was great for Freddies age, Parker was making it to the top and going down the big slide too but he’s a daredevil, it might be a tad big for some 4 year olds!

There is also a smaller climbing frame that Matilda and Parker both loved. It had a little climbing slope to access and a slide and little look outs. Tilly had a fabulous time playing on it!

All of them enjoyed the zip wire, an obstacle course, swings, and lots more bits for them to play on. And the monkey bars were great and super nostalgic!

The park kept all three of my kiddos (aged 18 months, 4 & 6) occupied and they all came away saying they’d had a brilliant time. The park is set in an open space and is a mix of soft ground and grass.

As well as the play park there is a large exercise equipment area, a skate park, and a basketball court. It is all sat in a large field so the kids had a good run around. Plus there is a large car park so it’s super convenient!
