The Story Museum gets ready for a day of frabjous fun for all the family!

The Story Museum is delighted to announce the highly anticipated return of Alice’s Day, a spectacular city-wide celebration dedicated to the whimsical world of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. On Saturday 1st July, families and literary enthusiasts alike are invited to embark on a magical journey down the rabbit hole and immerse themselves in the enchanting tales of Lewis Carroll’s seminal children’s classic.

Alice’s Day at The Story Museum has become an annual tradition that celebrates the enduring charm and imagination of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. This year, we are thrilled to bring a host of exciting activities and captivating experiences for visitors of all ages.

For one day only, Oxford will come to life with Alice-themed theatre, film screenings, crafting, dance, lectures, and tours. The festival is produced by The Story Museum with partners including Oxford University Museum of Natural History, Museum of Oxford, Oxford Botanic Garden, Christ Church, Bodleian Libraries, Alice’s Shop, Oxford Festival of Arts, The Lewis Carroll Society, Oxford Children’s Book Group, Oxford Water Walks and The Ultimate Picture Palace.

This year’s Alice’s Day revolves around the theme of ‘The Great Outdoors,’ offering visitors a chance to embrace the wonders of nature and wildlife. A wide range of family-friendly events and activities are spread throughout the city, and the best part is that many of them are free, without the need for advance booking.
