The Most Amazing Jacket Potatoes at Waddesdon Manor
I have to give a special mention to my lunch last Feb half term at Waddesdon Manor. My jacket potato was so good it really deserved a review all of it’s own. Down at the stables you can get hot drinks, tasty treats and light lunches.
For kids there is the choice of fish goujons, a half jacket potato or pasta. The adults menu is Rooster baked potatoes with olive oil and sea salt. The range of toppings is mouthwatering from chicken & wild mushrrom with truffle cream to honey & mustard pork sausages. I chose the home smoked sea trout with watercress, horseradish and dill creme fraiche. I’m not sure I’m going to be able to settle for cheese & beans again in the future – it was a taste sensation.
It came also came served with puy lentils, sun blushed tomatoes, edamame beans, pomegranate and crispy shallots and dressed with a wholegrain mustard vinaigrette.
