This giant Easter birds nest activity is great fun for toddlers and older children alike. The paper is scrunchy and makes a great sound to invoke the senses. You can bury as many eggs as you like in the shredded paper for your little ones to hunt though and find. Younger children are happy enough finding the colourful eggs and older ones may be lucky enough to find a little treat!
Sensory Easter Activity
You will need:
Small paddling pool or Tuff Tray
Brown parcel paper
Shredded paper
Colourful eggs
Optional: a bird who has hatched them!
How to make a giant Easter bird nest:
1. Line your paddling pool or Tuff Tray in parcel paper.
2. Add shredded paper for the birds nest. I have used colourful shredded paper that I found in the supermarket but any shredded paper would work or straw.
3. Bury your eggs in the shredded paper, maybe a surprise inside.
4. Add a bird in the middle for added effect!
5. Happy hunting!
