What a difference a sunny day makes after all the rain we’ve been having. My 4 year old and I zipped out this morning to burn off some energy and check out the Kennington pump track.
It’s a fairly simple circular route with trees in the middle. There are undulating surfaces with a few steeper areas and a tight curve at one end.
It’s not huge and best suited to younger kids who are confident on their bike and looking for a challenge. My youngest is a whizz on his bike and he loved it. My 8 and 10 year old boys would find it a little tame.
What’s great is that you can also combine it with a trip to the little play park which has some swings, climbing frame and slide. There’s also a big grassy field which would be great for kicking around a ball, flying a kite or getting the frisbee out.
After a good zip around on the bike and play in the park, we scaled the bridge over the road to Bagley Wood to spot some wonderful bluebells.
