This is a fun little activity for any kids interested in Space or doing a Space topic at school or homeschool. You create the phases of the moon from OREO cookies. It’s a fun way to learn about the phases of the moon – and you get to eat the cookies after (…and of course any that you break whilst doing the activity!)
You’ll need at least 8 OREO cookies and some extras for breakages!
Split the cookies into halves then scrape off parts of the filling to create the white moon phases on the black coloured cookie background. Arrange the moon phases on a piece of paper and write the names of the moon phases next to each one – or take a photo and add digitally.
